The investigating magistrate of the Court of Pavia issued a dismissal order against Francesco Errichiello, accepting the defense's argument that he did not commit the crime. The criminal proceedings arose from a long and complex investigation conducted by the Pavia Financial Police, coordinated by the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office, which, following the outcome of the investigations, had hypothesized the crime of extortion. On the contrary, accepting the defense's arguments, which documented the correctness of the Superintendent's actions, the judge issued a dismissal order.
